Mediocrity, Balance, service, purpose, fulfill, potential, realize, life

MEdiocrity: The inevitable conclusion to the everyday, every-way pursuit of ME.

Balance: The ultimate outcome of the everyday, every-way pursuit of serving others for God’s purposes.

What’s in it for ME?  (WIFM) This is the question of the day isn’t it?

You have certainly heard it, probably said, and most likely made decisions in your life based on the answer to this question. Whether accepting an offer for employment or making a purchasing decision we base many decisions in life on the answer to the question: What’s in it for ME?

WIFM is the slogan on the Billboards lining the expressway to Mediocrity and we race ahead without realizing that Mediocrity is the inevitable conclusion to the everyday, every-way pursuit of ME.

Balance on the other hand is something we all desire or long for in our lives, but in order to get there we need to exit the expressway to Mediocrity. Through the everyday, every-way pursuit of service to others for God’s purposes we discover that the theory of reciprocity really works. Yet we do not serve from the intent to receive, rather we serve to honor God’s purpose for the benefit of the person being served. What’s in it for You?  This is the slogan lining the expressway to balance.
